Ok so I contacted my host provider and got help on how to install the newest version of dotnetnuke correctly.  It seems my problem lies elsewhere...

When I install my module, it goes through the installation process and finishes.  After it finishes, I get the following error when trying to access the site:

Server Error in '/' Application

I then notice that I don't have the web.config file set to "Off" to check the problem.  Once I do that, however, it tries to go to my localhost (localhost/dotnetnuke)

The only difference I did at all from the installation of the modules is:

I go to my Visual Web Developer 2008 and open my site.  I right click on my database in the database explorer and choose "Publish to Provider" to make the data for my 01.00.00.SqlDataProvider file under my module.  It paste that data into that file, run it locally, package the module, and then install it.  Then this all happens.  Is there something in that data that might be trying to make it go to the local host?
