Hi!

I have upgraded my DNN to 4.08.02

When In try installing modules, I get this message:

Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerTimeoutException: The server request timed out.

It is very annoing..
I cannot use the Install.aspx?mode=installresources command, since it just times out.. and same when I try to install through the module definitions page..Can any one help me with this?

Is this an IIS or DNN problem..?
I have other DNN sites on the same machine.. and noe have the same problem.

/David

I was wondering if you have ever resolved this. I am having the same problem. Once the process hangs, it seems the module has been installed. However, if installing a module with multiple module inside it, it only installs the first one. I am also having the same problem un-installing modules.

try to find out, if it is a sql server or web server problem, in the first case make sure, that the transaction log is frequently truncated and number of entries in DNN event log, schedule history and site log do not exceed. In the second case, it might be an issue of not enough server memory.

Thanks Sebastian,

The SQL server logs seem to be ok. The webserver has only 1 gig of memory. My site is the only thing running on it. Is that enough memory?
