Hello

I have a DNN 482 install that I'll probably have to reinstall. The problem is that I can't just delete the database as it is shared with another application i.e. I need to remove DNN database objects only.

Does anyone know an easy way to remove these objects automatically or know where I can get a list of the installed database objects (tables, stored procedures etc) to permit me to delete them one by one?

thanks in advance

Mike

Mike,

if you share a database with another application, it is a good idea to specify an objectQualifier when installing the database, which is used to preceed all objects (i.e. tables, views, sprocs, indexes, ...) names. This would allow you to identify all installed projects of dotnetnuke nad MS Membership Component (starting with "ASPNET_"). If you did not specify an objectQualifier during install, you will need to setup another local DNN installation with same modules to get all object names.

Thanks Sebastian

I had an inkling I should've dome something like this....next time I will.

Do you know if there is a log that would record the SQL Server objects that were created? My install was just a defaul DNN 482.

Thanks again for all your help

Mike

Hi Mike,

AFAIK there isn't therefore a parallel install and manual comparison would be the only way.
