I have searched for this but could not find any help with solving this problem. Several months ago I installed DNN on a 2003 server. It is set up and working fine. So today I decided I wanted to install DNN again. I installed it to a different directory (named it something different of course) set up the Virtual Directory basically just repeated everything I did when setting up the install. When I went to localhost/forum it excuted perfect and competed the set up of the DNN install. From localhost/forum everything is working correctly. Now when I try and access the full url I get the following error. See below. I realize it has something to do with IIS but I have double checked everything twice and it is set up identically to my other installation that works. I did notice in the Physical Path it is looking for C:\inetpub\wwwroot\forum  which does not exists. The virtual directory is set up to point to C:\forum. Does anyone have any ideas. I am puzzeled by this one. Was thinking maybe it had something to do with two installs on one server.

Thanks for the help.

Did you install to a different database or the same one by mistake?

Mike,

I just did some testing. I am using SQL Server Express 2005 and let the defaults as in when I installed DNN. Using the SQL Server Management Studio I was able to attach to the DATABASE.MDF file that is located in a different location than my previous installation. Like I stated before when I access the DNN site from the local machine at localhost/forum it works fine. But when I try and access the site from another computer using the url http://www.mysite.com/forum I get the message displayed  in the my first posting. I registered an account and then viewed the user table with the management studio and confirmed that it is attached to the correct database. I really think I am missing something in my IIS setup. IF you notice under physical path it is listed as C:\intepub\wwwroot\forum this is not correct. It should be C:\forum I have checked the virtual directory several times and it is set correctly. Any other ideas.

Thanks

Brian
