So I'm working with a fresh install, downloaded the Install package...

am using windows server 2003 and MS SQL Server 2005

I got my database setup, IIS default document, directory pemissions setup, connections strings in the webconfig file... 

but it wont run install....  Igo to the url  http:/Durham1.com/DNN but my browser changed it to 

http://durham1.com/dnn/GenericErrorPage.htm?aspxerrorpath=/DNN/Default.aspx  and page cannot be found error.

anybody know what my problem is and how to fix it.  My server has other aspx sites running just fine.

if you run DNN in a subdirectory, you have to make sure that that directory is set up as Application (virtual directory) in IIS. See this post for more info on running dnn in a subdirectory:
