Redirection problem
I am being redirected to localhost when I type mydomain.com in URL. I saw some threads regarding to this issue but until now could not fix the problem.
My website is located in root directory of www.mydomain.com. My vdir is something like myVdir. Then I have the following aliases
localhost.myVdir
www.mydomain.com/myVdir
x.x.x.x/myVdir

Even so I continue to be redirected to localhost.
Any idea?

How did you setup the other Portal Aliases, manually or through the DNN interface? If you manually added them into the DB check to make sure that you've recycled your application as Portal Aliases are stored in cache.

Chris, thanks for your quick answer.

I am trying to host my website and I limited access to my website. Then to add the aliases, I launched my local website, then made the adds and copied the entire website again to host machine. Note that my local site is using my remote database then any change to database is made in database in my domain. Even so, I dont know if when I add an aliases if the information if stored in some cache in local machine. If yes, then the aliases are in my local machine and not in remote machine. Is there any change in database or source code that I can do to force dnn to use my domain name?

Thanks.

If you're making the change locally, in the remote database, you will need to reset the hosted website to get the cache to clear and the new alias to load up.

You can do this by making a simple change (add a line break) to the web.config file and saving the file.
