I get to step number 4 on Setting File Permissions - Have the security tab and stuff but when I go to set the permissions on the DoTNet file I do not have the NT Authority/Network Service or the ASPNET user. I am showing Admin, Creator Owner,Systems, Users - I am using Windows XP Pro and IE 7 - this has happened on 2 different computers that I tried an istall. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help

You have to add a new user to this list, which will bring up a window that will allow you to type in the username (aspnet) on XP

I added the ASPNET as indicated went through the rest of the setup but now I am getting the following error when I go to the website page - it is a local server.

Line 4:  <sectionGroup name="dotnetnuke">
Line 5:  <!-- the requirePermission attribute will cause a syntax warning - please ignore - it is required for Medium Trust support-->
Line 6:  <section name="data" requirePermission="false" type="DotNetNuke.Framework.Providers.ProviderConfigurationHandler, DotNetNuke"/>
Line 7:  <section name="logging" requirePermission="false" type="DotNetNuke.Framework.Providers.ProviderConfigurationHandler, DotNetNuke"/>
Line 8:  <section name="scheduling" requirePermission="false" type="DotNetNuke.Framework.Providers.ProviderConfigurationHandler, DotNetNuke"/>

Are you actually getting an error message?

Double check that your BIN folder has all the DLLs that came in the Zip file you downloaded.
