I'm trying to install using the starter kit 4.8 .4

After pressing Ctrl-F5 and pressing next after it displays the database conection info it just hangs with the red progress lights moving from left to right. How can I find out what failed and then how do I restart the process without start over from scratch?

I'm guessing your doing that from within VS-2008, that will cause a javascript error and not run the database scripts. You should create a vitural folder in your local IIS and run the application from there the first time by navigating to http://localhost/MyDnnWebSite/Install/Install.aspx?mode=Install, use you site name in place of MyDnnWebSite.......that will kick off the scripts correctly. Chased that problem myself.....

I'm using vs 2005 now and I get the same problem with the database. I have 2 questions. Is there a way just to run the scripts to build the database.

Question 2. I would like to use the default express webfing settings, but I dont have express installed, I have sql server 2005 installed. Is that why the express settings
won't install. If not how do I set the webconfig to setup the database in the app_data project folder.
