I am on 4.8.1 and when I go to host -> SQL I get this message " Error: SQL is currently unavailable."  I have 2 similar dnn installations on this same server, dev and prod and they both do this.  this also happened on my old instance (same server) back at version 4.6 but it didnt seem to hurt anything so i never tracked it down.  i have searched on here and google and cant find anything about this.  Here is the event log:\

You either have too many or too few files in your installation as the result of past upgrades.

any ideas on how to correct the problem?

there is some duplicate code, maybe due to a module implementing the same class the core framework uses. do you use same 3rd party modules in all your installations?

I do.  Based on what you are saying perhaps I should set up a third instance and install the extra modules 1 by 1 and after each one check the SQL function?  Or is it likely to be be a certain class and I should work it from another angle?

Thanks!
