Hi

I'm getting 100s of "file is missing" when trying to create a new website from the StarterKit 04.08.04. using VS2005 (New Website -> DNN Web Application Framework).

Once through the 10 mins of beeps, the build goes fine but I'm left with a directory list in the browser, no website as such. Also there is no default.aspx just a default.aspx.vb in the root folder of the website.

Now what?

Use the Install package to create a new website.  You do NOT need to use Visual Studio at all if you are just creating a website.
