Hi

I have installed DotNetNuke for one of my domain hosted at GoDaddy.

The installation is done by GoDaddy interface and I got the link to access my dotnetnuke application via email from GD.

But when I try to access that link I am getting 500 Inernal Server error-

There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

Is this something to do with web.config file?? I have different application running on asp.net in root directory of my webserver account. I have installed dotnetnke in a different folder.

Please suggest.

thanks,

Amit

You better contact Godaddy , they have been changing there servers yesterday. It might be the reason.

Hello,

I did contact with GD support team but they told that they do not support any third party application. And asked me to contact the  respective product developer. They are guessing that its something to do with web.config file. The folder in which dotnetnuke is installed has release.config file though.

Rename realease.config to be web.config

EDIT: assuming you don't already have a web.config file

Godaddy does not support third party applications. If you want to get a support for dotnetnuke under godaddy, you can follow my tutorials by paying a small amount. (http://www.mynetnuke.com)

So far, i was able to help more than 170 people.
