Hi jenlane22 -

I had tried half a dozen times previously...so I wish I knew "exactly", but I don't. I have the VS2005 starter kit version installed. I recall I deleted the SqlServer database....deleted the VS project folder (basically any trace of the old website or database ) and then started over. I first created a blank database in SqlServer - and then a new DNN website project from within Visual Studio. I believe I then edited the web.config to point to my SqlServer database rather than use the .mdf file, and then compiled the website. It then took me through the installation pages if I recall and I was able to verify the db connection was fine etc.

This still didn't solve the problem of the modules showing up in the control panel though....but what it did solve was that they appeared with all the checkboxes next to them to be added to the site. So there's two problems really...1.) why are they installed initially 2.) why weren't they appearing as availble to be added.

I wish I could be of more help....hopefully one of the senior DNN folks can shed light on this for you.

Good luck!
