I have dotnetnuke 4.35 installed in a subdirectory on Godaddy. I used metropolis to install it in January 2007, and I have installed some third party modules as well.

I have only used one of my 2 MS SQL databases.

I can't upgrade through metropolis, but I was wondering if I could use Metropolis to do a second install into another subdirectory, work on the app there, and then redirect my url to the new subdirectory when I had finished upgrading everything, including what content I wanted to move over etc. I'm not using half of the features right now. I want human friendly urls, the better text editor, a better photo module, a new skin, etc. This is for a band website so a lot of the group functionality isn't needed right now...

Any thoughts appreciated!

Katherine

Since they're in subdirectories, you shouldn't have a problem.
