I tried installing a fresh DNN 484 into a database using the object qualifier and it installed (seemingly) fine, but I cannot login - it just redirects me to the home page without showing that i am logged in.

I tried registering a new user and i see the user in the database, but i dont authenticate.

i see the dotnetnuke forms cookie in my cookie collection when i inspect it using FF's web tools.

Has anyone else run into this?

Can you check the eventlog table in the database to see if there are any errors?

Generally when I see this type of response when trying to login it is a cookie issue, I realize you're checking for it, but something tells me it is still a cookie issue.

Chris,

Thanks a lot for the reply.

I did some more checking around and it was caused by a in front of the httpmodules web.config. One of the guys decided it would be easier to use clear instead of the remove tag for modules in the parent directory's web.config.

Thanks again,

That's an interesting issue, so you had DNN running underneath another application?
