Can anyone enlighten me as to why I don't see the 'Upgrade Available' in either host settings page, or control panel, or the whole column in module definitions, despite the fact that I do have 'Check for upgrades' enabled in the host settings?

BTW I'm currently running V4.8.0 and so should see that 4.8.4 is available - and it certainly does on mys other machines. Just the one I'm having a problem with is weird.

Obviously I've missed something somewhere really silly:)

Thanks, Peter

for this to work, dnn needs to be able to initiate web requests. Your hosting provider might have forbidden this

Thanks Eric.

The problem is on my own dev machine (XPPro). My production hosting - where I have 4 DNN instances - works no problem. I know I can get to the dnn update web service - just no updates!

Peter,

I'm having the same problem - local development machine won't show the upgrade check results, but my live server does.  Have you found a resolution to this?
