Hi, I had got a full DNN installation performed on a server. Now, customer user delete full DNN package, so I just have got BCK of old DB.

I reinstall full DNN package (same portal alias/same DB name), and I try to restore on new DB (of new installation) the old one.

As result Application run, but users seems to not run (no one can login)

there is a way my users can continue to run? Should I set some configuration?

Thank you

first ensure in the database, that users are present in users table

second, did you make sure to use the same machine key? if you had difficulties accessing the database, the installer might have altered it. Please compare with original backup.

1) After I restore DB users are in user table as I expect for

2) I think problem can be this one. When I reinstall all, I do it on server, instead first installation and actual restored DB was installed on another PC and then migrate on server. So machine key should be different. But, in which way I can check? Can I solve it on server or I should redo install from original PC. I do not know a lot about machine key issue.

thank you

Ok I solved

I use different suggestion in Forum relate to password issue.

It seems if there is no old machine key or you move to "clear" password, or ou reset all password relate to new machine key.
