Hello everyone,

I am trying to perform an upgrade to 4.8.4 on a client's site.

The first time I attempted the upgrade it started ok and then fell over.

Now everytime I try a subsequent upgrade, nothing happens.  The browser just spins in an infinite loop.  I'm receiving no errors which is making it very difficult to debug.

I have followed the upgrade instructions very closely.  My web.config is correct as far as I can tell.

Any help would be appreciated.

Tom.

Try to open web.config file with a text editor and save the file, this will restart the application.

Which has been the previous version installed?

Be avised to upgrade to DNN 4.9.0, since there are several security issue fixed.

Thanks Sebastian,

It's version 4.3.5.  There is a 3rd party module that is dependent on version 4.8.4, otherwise I would upgrade to 4.9.0.

Thanks for the tip about the web.config file.  I will see if it helps.

Tom.
