Hi everyone,

I have been trying to install dotnetnuke 4.9.0 for couple of days. I uploaded all the installation files to the root directory at my hosting provider except LiveID and OpenID packages because of the error which I got at the installation process. thanks to Mike Horton I was able sort it out.

Link about the packages helped by Mike Horton :

www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/89/threadid/244129/scope/posts/Default.aspx

Later on at the last stage of the installation process, I got an error which says "Error Installing Portal: Error creating Profile Definitions". I checked that all the permissions are ok. also looked at that all the tables are created in sql server 2005 and ASP Net 2 framework is active.

But I could not find a valuable information which might help.

Hope you answer to solve the problem

thanx

And did you completely delete your database after the first failed install and then create a new one?

JK.

Hi Sebastian,

I can remotely connect my hosting providers' SQL Server remotely and when I check the properties of my database, collation is set to "Turkish_CI_AS". Do you think that causes the problem? and if it does, what should I do?

Hi JK,

Yes, everytime I fail at the installation, I connect SQL and delete all the tables created by dnn
