I have a strange issue. I developed a website and then deployed it on a Windows 2003 server. User registration works on my test machine but not the server….Everything is working correctly in the exception of the registration page. Every time I click on the "User" token is prompts to authenticate with Windows credentials. I have reset the NTFS permission half a dozen times or more and have been tooling around with various IIS settings. Nothing I have found would indicate this is a Windows permissions issue. I have even went as far to ad the everyone (full control) group and full read/write under directory settings in IIS. Does anyone have any idea what I could do to correct it or trouble shoot it for that matter?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Jason

This seems to specifically pertain to default.aspx because if i go directly to the registration page by typing the url it works. The windows authentication prompt also indicates it wants credentials for default.aspx. Anyone?

This usually indicates a file access permission problem.  Make sure that all of the files in your DotNetNuke installation are available to the .net user.

I am still plagued by this issue. Once again you can access the registration page if you type the url but get prompted to enter windows credentials if the user clicks on the "register" token on default.aspx. Anyone?

I really don't unstand this. It prompts me to enter windows credentials for default.aspx clicking on "register" but users can get to the home page without issue. Is it a script source access issue? Someone please post some suggestions as to how I could go about getting the registration token to work again.
