I am the webmaster for a small Catholic Parish and our site is hosted by our diocese on their server.  I have been wrangling for sometime to find a CMS that they would accept.  I need information as to how an installation of DNN will or might effect the security of the server.  They contract a management company to manage the server and this company has expressed concerns to the diocese as DNN is open source.  What information can I provide the diocese to make them feel more secure?

I have looked on the website, but haven't found anything exactly helpful.  I just need to assure them that this is the best option for our website and that the security of the server is not compromised in any way with installation of DNN.

JJ,

Which diocese are you with?  Is it in the US?

Shoot me an e-mail at:  XXX@XXX.org (JJ already e-mailed me)

Yes I have checked the security info as listed above.  However, I need very specific finite detail explaining the security for the server with a DNN installation.  It has to be readily explainable in "layman's terms".  Even explaining a CMS was difficult, they would rather I just HTML everything which does not assist me in anyway...
