I am new to DNN and I am using dotnetnuke to develop a new module for Freelancing site...So i am trying to create and manage the Modules with existing features of DNN...I would like to use the DNN users as my module users...But my constraint on user is that i want to use only one of them as administrator and others as user for that system.. It can be viewed by anonymous user also and registered user can manage there own account. Now the problem i am facing is that i need to make resigtered user as Admin/Super Admin then only i can edit or make changes to the Data i am showing as offer to registered... Hope i am clear to explain my problem...So please reply as soon as possible.. Thanks in advance... Regards, Jitendra

sorry, your problem is not clear to me

just give the role your users are in rights in your module. You can also extend the types of permissions (beyond just view and edit). If you need an example on how to do that, check out the UDT module

Accepted Answer

Jitendra,

your problem is already covered by user roles "administrators", "registeredUsers" and "unauthenticated users". you may grant permission per page or per module, you may even create your own security roles (e.g. "weg authors") if needed. In page settings and module settings, specify who is allowed to view or edit, some modules like UserDefinedTable extend the permission set to specify, who is able to add or delete rows.
