I have an account at 1&1. I have read in some forums that DNN doesn't work at 1&1, but I made a try to see what exactly was happening.

I try to install DNN and the installation process was done without any problems.

After the installation of DNN when I typed at the address of this new installation (e.g. http://mydomain.com) by default I saw the installation folder.

So, I made a simple trick.....and I put the default.aspx page at installation folder.....and DNN is worknig.

The only problem that I have now, is that 3-4 pages, doesn't work....(I get an error message).

I think that this is happening because maybe there are some wrong parametrers at webconfig file.....because site default folser is at install folder.....

Do you know any solution?

Thanks in advance :)

Check the portal alias functionality (host/portal settings). Make sure portal alias is simply www.mydomain.com for your portal. Then move your default.aspx back to where it was. Otherwise you might try to install DNN again with the correct portal alias.

That's all I can offer, if you do get it working at 1&1 you might find it slow (I would not recommend it).

Cheers...

Alex Shirley
