I have a DotNetNuke application (version 4.8)  that is being hosted on a Windows 2008 Server.    Recently the host provider, easycgi, moved my application to a new server and now I'm getting sporatic errors like this one:

Failed to start monitoring changes to '\\servername.......\Logging\App_LocalResources' because the network BIOS command limit has been reached. For more information on this error, please refer to Microsoft knowledge base article 810886. Hosting on a UNC share is not supported for the Windows XP Platform.

These usually occur when I try to login to my dotnetnuke site.    Does anyone know how to correct this?  I believe this is due to an incorrect setting on the webserver but I'm not sure what it is.    I've contacted them several times about this issue and they were unable to correct it.

I located a post about this issue (http://forums.asp.net/t/808655.aspx?PageIndex=1).   When I edited the webconfig for the site and added in a few carriage returns in the file and the problem went away.     Very strange issue.   I'm going to continue to look around to see if I can find any known issues with this problem.

It looks like the webconfig change was only a temporary fix.   After a few hours this error re-appeared.   Ugh...

I have the same problem with my site hosted on easycgi.com. The error is same but with different folders every time:

Exception Details: System.Web.HttpException: Failed to start monitoring changes to '\\boswinfs02\home\users\web\b2029\ez.online778\Mudules' because the network BIOS command limit has been reached. For more information on this error, please refer to Microsoft knowledge base article 810886. Hosting on a UNC share is not supported for the Windows XP Platform.

Did you find any solution?
