Hey everyone,

I ran across an interesting issue this morning. My network team and I are sort of at a loss as what the issue could be. Sometimes it appears in a DNN wrapped page, and sometimes its a straight ASP.NET error page.

I have two DNN 4.7.0 test installs and both have been fine for us until today. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this error before. If so please shed some light on the subject for us.

Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool. This may have occurred because all pooled connections were in use and max pool size was reached.

Thanks!

Cheers!

Look in your web.config for this line and make it crazy high like I have done. I spent WEEKS on similar timeout/install problems only to find this as the simple solution.

<httpRuntime useFullyQualifiedRedirectUrl="true" maxRequestLength="18192" requestLengthDiskThreshold="18192" shutdownTimeout="900" />
