Hola folks,

I've got a VPS hosting setup that I am trying to get DNN installed on (my first time, other than my test install on an XP box).  My current hosting plan only has 512 mb of RAM with NO paging file (not allowed on a VPS I guess).  The VPS is running Win2003, MSSQL 2005 Express, and VS2005.  I've got all the files installed and open up VS and do the Ctrl-F5 thing.  The install makes it to where it starts running all of the database scripts to setup the database, and memory usage goes up until it hits the 512 mb ceiling and then fails.
 

I'm starting with 213 mb free before opening VS.  After opening VS and the DNN project, I've got 150 mb free.  After doing Ctrl-F5 and looking at the DNN installation wizard screen, I've got about 60 mb free.  Running the wizard I get thru the first few screens until the database scripts start running and then it dies.

Has anyone else had this problem?  Are there any work arounds to getting this installed without my having to upgrade my VPS plan ($50 more per month and a huge migration PITA, several other sites hosted on this VPS).

Any ideas or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Problem solved.  Did not realize I could open IE directly at http://localhost/dnn and get the same installation wizard.  Without VS running there was enough memory to complete the install.  Now if I can just figure out how to access my new test parent portal (not the default) from the localhost, I'll be doing great!
