Hi DNN Team.
We installed DNN using the default selection of SQL Express.
Was able to login and configure portals and change skins.

Now we are trying to convert it back to using SQL Server 2005 Dev edition.

What i tried.
Create a brand new DB calling it dotnetnuke.
Took the above DB offline and attached the SQL Express mdf and ldf file to the newly created DB.
Brought DB back online and i could view tables / users... etc...
The site is located in http://localhost/dontnetnuke/ [C:\inetpub\dotnetnuke\]

When i load the site using IE 7 and even Firefox everything loads 100% when click on the login button it takes me to...
 http://localhost/dotnetnuke/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Login/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2fdotnetnuke%2fHome%2ftabid%2f36%2fDefault.aspx
I log in using a valid username and password and then only redirect me to the Default.aspx page ? why is that?

What page am i meant to see.

Thank in advance for any replies.

If you still have the original database and installation, simply attach the SQL Express database to SQL 2005.  No need to do all that you tried.

Before attaching the SQL Express mdf and ldf file to the newly created DB,
GO to "PortalAlias" table and change "localhost/dotnetnuke/" to "Your site URL" (i.e. if my site URL is http://www.dotnetnuke.com" then i will add "dotnetnuke.com") to that table entry.
