What are the benefits upgrading to 5.0 instead of just upgrading to 4.9.1?

Please check out the blogs about DNN 5's new features.

In theory DNN 4.9.1 might be more stable than DNN 5 right now as it's been around for a while. Then again maybe not because a heck of a lot of bugs were fixed in DNN 5, perhaps you would prefer upgrading to 4.9.1 first and wait for another release of DNN 5? You should eval these questions for your own answers anyway.

Maybe 4.9.1 might be more compatible with your existing modules?

Then again you might enjoy DNN 5's new features and you are happy with it, and would prefer to follow the future of the DNN platform straight away (and get a head start).

In the end try them both for yourself - you decide!

"Straight Away", funny. I am a paramedic in the US, and my partner from years ago who was from England used to use that phrase whenever I was driving to a call. It would confuse me at times as would many other of her English phrases. Thanks for the response, I will take your advise.

according to issues, the first users, who tried an upgrade to DNN 5 encountered, I suggest to upgrade to 4.9.1 now and wait for 5.0.1 for the next major upgrade.
