Is this the same or different issue?
As far obtaining the web controls source you might try the ClientAPI forum. I'm not sure why we can't download the latest web controls here.
Also check support.dotnetnuke.com, check the web controls project and have a look at the outstanding issues.

DNN 5 works fine on my Dev box which is Vista Ultimate 64 bit running SQL 2008 express.  I am at SP1 for Vista, the .Net framework 3.5SP1 is installed, and SQL2008 SP1 as well. Anything I can check to help out?

Thanks for the feedback

I've tried a few places for the webcontrols - but can't see them - I'm sure it's just an oversight caused by the xmas launch.

However...

... I think I've solved my problem :)

It isn't a DNN bug as such... I think my problem's were caused by out of date cookies - cookies in client browsers left over from the 4.9.0 version which were leading to the exceptions. Clearing cookies in the browsers certainly seems to be clearing the error so far anyway.

Would still be nice to handle this error on the server - but I have a workaround for now :)

More feedback (help?) for people....

On Firefox3, simply clearing cookies did the job.

On IE7, I needed to get people to completely F5 refresh their pages - if they had js debuggers attached then they seemed to be hitting problems with getScript not defined in here:

        $.getScript($dnn.baseResourcesUrl + "Shared/scripts/DotNetNukeAjaxShared.js",
                    function() { $.getScript($dnn.baseResourcesUrl + "Shared/scripts/widgets.js"); });

I seem to be through most of this now (fingers crossed)

I cannot believe it was that simple solution looking at the error! - I live and learn... Good stuff Mr Hollywood, if others could confirm this work that would be good then I can close the Gemini issue.
