Hi

I am installing DNN 5 and getting an error with the install script I have attached the log file (DotNertNuke.Schema.log) output below. I am thinking it is a SQL issue but not sure as no expert.

I am running DNN 5 on UtilDev Cassini with MS SQLExpress 2008.

As you may already have read, a timeout happened, this might be caused by lack of resources. did you start with a restart of the machine and turning off anything, you don't need? Please note as well, that DNN5 installation has not been tested on Cassini.

I have tried a number of things including rebooting and even reinstalling SQLExpress incase setting had be entered incorrectly, but I can create a working site in VWD2008 so SQLExpress must be working, I think?

Since posting I have got further with install, and managed to get install script tp complete successfully without error and follow the link to my newly installed portal, but to my dismay when I tried to login it failed and came back with 'Handling Error' or 'failed to connect - The connection was refused when attempting to contact localhost.'

I am running on Xp Home SP2 if this will make a difference?

Thanks for the reply.

Chris

Chris,

I'd upgrade to IIS in XP Pro or Vista, IMHO anything else is not worth the time you invest.

same error on my non-english (Regional Settings) test machine. i have fixed @isscalarfunction to @IsScalarFunction and @istablefunction to @IsTableFunction from the 05.00.01 source code. i uploaded fixed version of the DotNetNuke.SqlDataProvider.dll to my website for my customers. if you want it you can download from here and manually upload to your bin folder.
