I get this erro when trying to install DotNetNuke 5, it is a fresh install not an upgrade.

Installing Database - Version 5.0.0...FAILURE 400 - The stored procedure 'dbo.UpdateDatabaseVersionAndName' doesn't exist.

Any Help?

Thanks

Check your file permissions (security should be all the way down) and make sure you have unziped the package properly (all files got extracted).

When you reinstall DNN make sure you delete the database.

Go through the custom install wizard and check your database connection works, if you are using SQL Express make sure you are setting it that way.

Thanks for the help.  I got it installed.  I was missing some permissions in SQL Server.  I granted all to my sql user, can I scale back the permissions now?

Thanks again.

Matt

Glad it is fixed!
Optimum SQL Server permissions for ASP.NET applications I'm sure can be googled elsewhere.
