You have to tell VIsual studio where to find the templates... it's not clever enough to know for instance that you might have moved your my documents folder somewhere else (Tools/Options or something like that).

I tried using the Dot Net Nuke 4.9 starter kit installer with Visual Studio 2008 sp1. The install went quite well, but it actually placed the .zip file for the project templates in the My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Templates\Project templates\VWD\Visual Basic folder. They are supposed to be installed to My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Templates\Project templates\Web\Visual Basic. After that, everything worked fine. Now I have to figure out why "thumbs.vb" appears to be missing (so the solution creation process claims).
