Has anyone else had this? Is there another way around this?

Thanks

Accepted Answer

Sorted now, the /install/install.aspx?mode=install hadn't run when I thought it had.

Cheers

I am getting this same error as noted above:    Exception Details: System.IndexOutOfRangeException: PermanentRedirect

I attempted to upgrade from 4.9.0 to 4.9.2.... no luck... so I tried upgrading from 4.9.0 to 4.9.1... no problem

then tried 4.9.1 to 4.9.2 ... nope, same error

What is causing this error??

Hi Dennis

After extracting the upgrade files over the top of your DNN instance (after that and SQL database is backed up) you need to then run:

http://www.yourdomain.com/install/install.aspx?mode=install

of course changing for one of your websites.  It then runs, hopefully smoothly for you as it did for me and then you should be fine.

Do let me know how you go!

Hello,

I had the same error, and running recommended http://www.yourdomain.com/install/install.aspx?mode=install gave the same error too. I connected to my DB with SQL Server Management Studio and noticed that update script hasn't been executed. After I run the script manually the install.aspx page called automatically, but gave error about executing SQL scripts (surely it should!). I checked Version table, nevertheless it was updated, and the site now starts.

Hope it helps somebody.
