Hi, I'd like to know how I can install a new module for DNN5 on a DNN 4.x portal. There is some tip for around this?

The module is not designed for specific version 5, the problem is only in the package that was created for the new version.

Thanks

no, this is not possible, DNN 5 uses a different packaging format and provides extended API, calls might not be supported by DNN 4.x.

Sure, it's right if the module use extended API not supported by DNN 4.x

But if the module is supported by DNN 4.x too how I can around on DNN 5 package? Can I solve editing the dnn file in the package or with other trick?

Thanks

if you develop the module in DNN 4, you can package in DNN 4 and DNN 5 legacy installer will notice and install correctly.

I've only the installer, I've not developed this module! I'd like to know if is it possible to convert a DNN5 module package to DNN4.x if it don't use DNN5 extended API. Nobody know how to do it?

Thanks!
