clubber73,

DotNetNuke is a 3 tier solution out of the box (according to MS).

  • 1st tier: The client (UI, Menu Navigation -Browser)
  • 2nd tier Business object andapplication (IIS + .NET)
  • 3rd tier is the data layer. (SQL Server + Stored proc)

How does one go about installing DNN on 3 separate machines as follows:

  1. Presentation Tier : IIS Server
  2. Business & Data Tier: WebServices or remoting?
  3. Database Server

I know the DNN files are split, but I need some guidance on the installation procedure.

Thanks

DNN Business & Presentation tiers are in the same layer. You can't seperate those physically.

Thanks for the reply.

Is there any way to separate the Data tier from the others?
