Hi,

I have setup the DNN 4.6.2 site on a Win2k3 server (webwin2k3)  at some port say 3333. Database server is SQL 2000 and is on another win 2k3 server.  

All necessary things are done, and I can access the site from other machines easily with http://machinename:3333 url. But when I try to access same site from the web server webwin2k3, in remote desktop session,  the browser keeps on redirecting to some page and i can never see the default .aspx page. However it I try to access an image inside the imgae folder as /images/abc.jpghttp://machinename:3333 then it shows tje image properly. Hence I think this is a problem related to DNN site installation / configuration.

I want this machine to work a independent machine for showing demos to people.

Can someone please help me to resolve this issue?

Thanks for your response.

I tried adding the portal alias, but it is behaving same (event after IISRESET).

Then i tried to go to the login page directly as http://machinename:3333/Login/tabid/333/Default.aspx and then it was working fine. I was able to login and access the site without any problem. But if i try to access site just by entering the uri http://machinename:3333/ it keeps on showing the continuous progress bar and nothing happens on the page. The tab 333 is the page we created for customized login page. Does that have anything to do with this issue?

We will try 4.9.2, but our site is in the production and currently we cannot upgrade it, but we will try it. Thanks for the valuable suggestion.
