Hi all, first time DNN user here...

I am trying to install DNN (sourcecode) on my localhost (XP Pro)...

Virtual directory - C:\DotNetNuke

asp.net and Network Services permissions added to the directory

Opened solution with VS2008.

Renamed web.config and corrected the connection string (2 places) to point to my SQLExpress database with a table named DotNetNuke already created.

Built solution.

Open a browser and point it to localhost/DotNetNuke

redirects to the install wizard page (step 1)
I leave the default selection (or change it, doesn't matter)
Click NEXT
Page refreshes, nothing happens
Choose Custom install... click NEXT
Page refreshes... nothing happens

No matter what I select, noithing happens when I click the NEXT button (except a page refresh)

Any and all help is appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Please forgive the obvious question: you do have JavaScript enabled in the browser you're using, right?

Enable javascript... if you are running firewall software such as ZoneAlarm make sure you disable the privacy settings and cookie setting universally (not just per website).

Make sure your folder permission are set for all child objects (files/folders) as well.

Make sure you are using IIS and NOT the proxy server bundled with Visual Studio. There's a tool called XP Pro IIS Admin that could help you (google it).

Thanks
