Hi,

I have a final problem. i spent the last hours setting up my local installation of DotNetNuke 5.0.1 (with SQL Server 2008 and Vista).

But now I have the problem, that I cannot log in. It was even possible to send an email with my user account and password.

But every time I click on the Login button it just brings me back to the first site...

Can anyone help me with this? :-)

Did you ever get logged in? If so, did you configure a Login Page on the Admin/Site Settings page? If so, go into the Portals table in the database and make the value for the LoginTabID Null instead of the tabid that is configured. You probably forgot to put the Account Login module onto the page you selected.

Hi

I know its a year or so later since your post, but i thought i'd answer this for others stuck on the same issue.

The problem is an issue with IE Browser i believe... to overcome this try using FireFox when developing locally.
