Hi,

I am looking for some advice..

I have DNN 4.09.00 running with some paying customers on it.

Frankly, all is going well except for some problems regarding subscriptions and timings..

My understanding is that the subscription errors were version specific and are fixed in the later versions...

They are something i REALLY need to get fixed.. and, i dont like to fall too far behind on versions...

when dnn2 turned into dnn3 it was no easy upgrade...but.. i need to upgrade...

What should i upgrade to? the latest V4 or go V5???

Help me.. im scared!

Trev

looks like v5 is out as this has paying customers... people are saying its not ready for production sites

so, the makes me wonder if i should stay where i am.....?

if i can get the subscription date problems fixed i have no other issues....

and therefore can stay where i am at the moment.

trev, thinking out loud. sorry

recommended DNN version for production currently is 4.9.2, while 4.9.3 shall be available soon.

I certainly wouldn't consider 5.0.1 at this time, but 4.9.2 is a really solid release. From my experience upgrading from 4.9.0 to 4.9.2 is quite smooth, but it depends on your configuration. I would definitely clone my 4.9.0 install (db and all) and run a test upgrade on the clone before committing to 4.9.2.

Upgrade to 4.09.03 on a test bed first.  (It's out.)  As long as it work, an upgrade directly to v4.09.03 should work fine.
