Please could anyone guide me in installing DNN 2.0.4 or DNN 2.1.2. I have already installed DNN 4.9.1 on my machine. But my work requires me to install DNN 2.0.4 or 2.1.2 on another machine. It would be of great help if anyone could give the details of installation. I tried installing it by follwing the installation guide meant for DNN 4.9.1. But am getting following error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

For installing DNN 2.0.4, using .net framework 1.1, sql server 2005 and VS 2003. Am i using the correct versions?

Hi Mrudula,

You need to make sure your App pool and site both are setup for .Net 1.1.

What are the specs for the server setup ?

Its quite easy to setup:

Create an empty DB ex. dnn212 with a user as dbo,create a new site using asp.net 1.1. pointing to your dnn2.1.2 files with read/write/execute permission, modify web.config connection string, go to your site and follow steps..
