Hi,

I am trying out DNN for the first time and so far it has been very frustrating.

I have installed version 5.01 and it seemed to go well - no problems whatsoever.  But how do I login?

See here - http://talkaboutrental.invosoft.co.uk/ - I click on 'Login' and no login dialogue appears, just an image with a padlock.  A similar thing happens when clicking on Register - only an image shows up.  I presume it is some security settings that need changing but i don't understand how i can be locked out of a base install.

I tried installing version 4.09 as well and after install, this happened:

Could not find stored procedure 'dbo.GetAllTabs'.

On installation, I set the db objects to have the prefix 'dnn_' but this hasn't been recognised.  Again, this is a fresh install using the unmodified install files.

Any pointers on how I login before i give up on DNN and use another CMS?

I think you have not set permissions to view pages to the public.

 

You will have to login as admin and in the portal settings you will have to give access.Then you should be able to see the login page.
