Hi All,

I have been using dnn V2 for about 5 years been great however I have to, do an upgrade or a new install.

The question I have is I have a very goopd server that has not been used and want to use it but before I start

I just want to know if I will be ok.

Server is a very good xeon processor with plenty of disk space running windows 2000 and SQL2000 I will update

the IIS components and dotnet items too, but can I run v3 or v4 with SQL 2000 and windows 2000 what is my path

Thanks in advance.

AFAIK Windows 2000 is no longer supported by MS ansd for security reasons, you should consider to use Windows 2003 or 2008.

SQL Server is less critical, though 2003 and 2008 version should provide better performance.

Sebastian's points are very valid.  However, to answer the root question, YES you can install DNN 4.x on Windows 2000 and SQL Server 2000.

The core modules do NOT require SQL 2005, however, some third party modules do!
