I have to 3 parent portals/websites, all owned by the same company and hosted on the same server (currently).  I would like to implement DNN in the same fashion but since I did not set up an current environment I am unaware of how to get this effect.  Can anyone direct me to some docs or instructions as to how to get this effect with DNN?  I will be using WS2008 Enterprise with IIS7 and SQL 2008 Std.  Currently the 3 websites are in coldfusion and I am moving them to DNN.

Example

http://www.website1.com public ip=200.100.000.1, internal ip=192.168.124.1

http://www.website2.com public ip=200.100.000.2, internal ip=192.168.124.2

http://www.website3.com public ip=200.100.000.3, internal ip=192.168.124.3

Any thoughts, help, etc would be of benefit!

DNN does not limit you in any way in terms of implementing this.  It's simply a matter of configuring your websites in IIS (and your router).  If you do three completely separate instances of DNN, that would be pretty straightforward.  If you're wanting to use one instance of DNN and it's mutliportal capabilities, it simply means associating all the IP's with the same site (host headers are optional, depending upon desired behavior) and allowing DNN to sort out the requests based on the PortalAlias.

You can test this without involving DNN at all, if that makes it easier.  Simply setup sites with just an index.aspx page and ensure that you can reach them according to your rules... then add DNN to the mix after.
