So I have a godaddy hosting account with DNN 4.9.0 installed.  This is the only version GoDaddy has available but I'd really like to upgrade to the 5.x versions.  After looking at the documentation there is only info for upgrading to 4.x.  I assume that the process may be the same but has anyone tried to do this before?  I'd like to know before I hose up my website...

dnn v5 is not suitable for production use - consider it a beta(unstable) so it is unlikely that GoDaddy will  upgrade to v5- the current production version is 4.9.3 - v5.1.0 is expected out later in year! even then I would probably wait till 5.1.1

I would ask Godaddy to upgrade to 4.9.3 it is quite stable

Ok.  Well...how about upgrading my local installation of 4.9.0 to 4.9.3?  I heard that this could be done by using a development machine and transfering the necessary files but again, I don't want to kill my portal.
