Hi Boy,

no need for Visual Studio to set up a DotNetNuke web site.

You need however a Web Server (or hosting service) with Microsoft IIS (part of Microsoft Server or XP/Vista professional) or Windows Hosting with ASP.Net (2.0 or later) and SQL Server (Express or full version).

Set up a web site and unzip DotNetNuke (4.9.3 atm) install package into the web site root. Prepare a blank database and permission, if not using file based connection and browse your site. The install wizard will show up and guide you through the installation.

For more detailed instructions, check out www.mitchelsellers.com.

good luck!
