DNN Experts,

Unfortunately, on Saturday - My IIS Server with a complete DNN instance installation, had 3 of it's Hard Drives in RAID5 die at the exact same time.  In looking at that, there's absolutely no way for me to recover any of the data that was on them.

The kicker in the face here, is that I had never done a backup to the units, in case something like this were to happen (my applications/sites are still very much in development - but functional and being used in a production enviornment).

Is it possible to reinstall DNN on a fresh build, but instead of overwriting any of the tables, use the ones that are currently on the SQL server from the original instance?  Meaning, If I install - I wouldn't want the new instance to overwrite anything that's already been done.

Any information that can be provided on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

You need database and files from your installation - installed modules and skins.

I suggest to setup an identical blank installation containing the same module definitions and skins/containers (use identical versions of  all components!) and switch database when it's complete. Content images will continue to be missing, however.

Thanks very much for the info.  I really appreciate it.

Sounds like I have some serious work ahead of me, but at least a chance of "repair" is soooooo much better than nothing at all.  :)
