As Sebastian says that might be an issue with Human Friendly Urls on your site.  To change back to search friendly (the deault pre 5.1) do the follwoing.

Find the following node in web.config:

        <add name="DNNFriendlyUrl" type="DotNetNuke.Services.Url.FriendlyUrl.DNNFriendlyUrlProvider, DotNetNuke.HttpModules" includePageName="true" regexMatch="[^a-zA-Z0-9 _-]" urlformat="humanFriendly" />

and change it to

        <add name="DNNFriendlyUrl" type="DotNetNuke.Services.Url.FriendlyUrl.DNNFriendlyUrlProvider, DotNetNuke.HttpModules" includePageName="true" regexMatch="[^a-zA-Z0-9 _-]" urlformat="searchFriendly" />

I am still getting the error as described above. My machine configuration is

Vista, IIS7, SQL2008

I am completely stumped by this and it has halted all our development. Any ideas would be really appreciated.

Note when you click "login" the URL being looked for is login.aspx/px

When you click "home" the URL being looked for is Home.aspx/spx

That fixed it. Thanks a million. Will I always need to do this to the config file or is this a bug which will be fixed

In general Human Friendly urls has been working.  However in your case it seems to have an issue rewriting the url.

You shouldn't need to updated it again - as we usually do not change web.config settings during upgrade.  If we can figure out whether it is reproducible and how to reproduce it then we will definitely fix it.

 I am experiencing the same problem.

Vista Ultimate, IIS7, SQL2008

Register works, but Home and Login give the error. I tried doing the fix for the URL with no luck.
