Firstly I did an upgrade from 4.93 to 4.94 this succeeded flawlessly.... no problems or glitches at all.

Afterwards I did an upgrade of the same instance to 5.10 CE (773) ... but this failed miserably... The site still works but admin and host menus are crippled... and maybe something more (behind teh curtains ;))

The following is the upgradelog of teh failed instance...

I tried to use the 5.10 upgrade pacakge on multiple instances with the same results (IIS 7.5; SQL 2008 SP1)

This issue will be fixed in next version, but does not affect host and admin modules or menus, there must be a different issue. what exactly does your portal look like?

Where normally the systemicons are located there is now a red 'X' which tells me that the picture (icon) could not be found. Besides the icons, there is normally the name of the menu, however, that is gone and replaced by an 'X' as well..., but if you click on teh 'X' it will redirect you normally to the configuration page of that menuheading...

sounds like an issue of the menu, does the same happen with default skin?

It's not the whole menubar, only the "Admin" and "Host" menus that are crippled... I read some similar issues in this forum as well, but i'll have to look the up again to link to...
