HI iam pretty new to Dotnetnuke. But i have a running installation of DotNetNuke_05_01_00 (That worked). I have a simular problem when trying to install V05.01.02 and SQL Server 2000. I have also tried to install it on SQL Express 2008 but i still gets this error message whatever alternative i choose in the wizard. Iam going nuts. Please advise someone that may have a solution to the problem.  The error message is turning up in the last stage, when the  "Portal Administrator" should be created.

Error Installing Portal:
Error creating Administrator user account.Unknown UserCreateStatus value encountered Parameter name: UserRegistrationStatus at DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserController.GetUserCreateStatus(UserCreateStatus UserRegistrationStatus) at DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalController.CreatePortal(String PortalName, UserInfo objAdminUser, String Description, String KeyWords, String TemplatePath, String TemplateFile, String HomeDirectory, String PortalAlias, String ServerPath, String ChildPath, Boolean IsChildPortal)

Please make sure to grant dbowner permission for the database to the database user specified in connection string.

Also make sure to use a case insensitive collation for the database and ideally for the server as well (at least during install).

Benny, are you trying to use Express connection string or "classic" connection string? if you manually create a blank database and db user with permission, you should use classic connection string, which is more robust.
