So I decided to upgrade from 4.7 to 5.1, and it failed.  So then I restored my backup of the dnn directory, at which point it gives me a message saying that it is upgrading the install, but the database is already 5.1.  So I unzipped the 5.1 upgrade to try the upgrade again, and now it just say an error has occurred.  See www.orderofinca.com/ooi

Where can I look to find out what is wrong with the upgrader to try and get the site back working?

Thanks for any help,

Andrew

Restore the database and files (hopefully you have a backup of both) to 4.7.

Andrew,

you are by far the first one facing DNN 6 - including it's developers :)

please be aware that any restore of a previous state requires to restore files AND database.

Unfortunately, if you didn't got a backup of your database you

a) definately need to reconsider your backup strategy

b) need an option to get the upgrade to work. I don't see a solution w/o hands on the system.
