Hi,

Depending on localization settings SiteMap.aspx will output the priority tag value either with a comma or a period.

I didnt check yet how other crawlers behave in this case but GoogleBot has a problem with the comma's.

for example: <priority>0.50</priority> is fine but changing your localization so that the sitmap will write <priority>0,50</priority> results in a googlebot error "invalid tag value".

I worked around that by changing the following line of code in the BuildUrl method in sitemap.aspx.vb:

writer.WriteElementString("priority", priority.ToString("F02"))

into

writer.WriteElementString("priority", priority.ToString("F02", CultureInfo.InvariantCulture))

Does anyone recognize this problem? Is there maybe something else i was doing wrong that caused this problem?

Thanks for your replies....

this should have been solved according to DNN-9995, but I can reproduce that it is still an issue and re-entered it (DNN-10412).

I cant add a new tread so I use this post, its regarding Sitemaps.

Should the sitemap include pages that is not shown for visitors. It seems that if you make a root menu hidden by setting just admin rights to it. The child to this page is included if the page have no restrictions.

Example in this site the page

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Home/Archive/Resources/forms/ProductInformationRequest/tabid/1195/Default.aspx is included in the sitemap. Is this good??

Regarding the priority 0.5 or 0,5. I have 0,5 in my installation but I have told in webconfig that my installation use sv-SE. I asume Google can understand that due to I get no errors.
